Campus Instructions: Fountain Valley

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Classroom Room Numbers: Located in your Instructor Portal alongside your list of classes. Instructors (including vendors who hire an instructor to teach), are responsible for knowing their room numbers and the location of the room(s).

Campus Maps: Located in your Instructor Portal. Bring a printed copy with you on the first day of class. Vendors who hire an instructor are required to download and email their teachers a copy of the Campus Map.

Parking: Park in the lot on the side of Ellis St. and enter the building through the Multi-Purpose room.

Parking for those who teach in Rooms C203-C206: Park near the elevator for easy elevator access. Contact Michelle for gate code. Be advised there are 3 steps upstairs at the end of the walkway before accessing rooms C-203-C-206.

Room Set Up: Arrive early to ensure your room is properly set up. Extra folding chairs are usually located in Room C-105. Extra “HSC” labeled folding tables are stored in room C-102.

White Boards: Please bring your own dry erase markers and erasers. Make sure to erase all whiteboards before leaving for the day.

Bulletin Boards: Instructors may utilize bulletin board space and keep their items pinned up for school year, but must first make arrangements with Michelle (we share the building with another organization who also utilizes the bulletin boards; specific space will be designated).

  • Church Management: Nothing is to be attached to the walls, windows, cupboards, ceiling, or lights. Items are to be placed only on bulletin boards or tack strips. Advertisements for church or school activities may be placed on windows if approved by church staff.

Food in the Classrooms: Students are allowed to eat their lunch or snacks in the classrooms at the discretion of the instructors. Drinking water is allowed in the classrooms, but no red-dye drinks or fruity drinks that stain.

Trash Cans: At the end of the day, discard all trash in the large bins located at the bottom of the outside stairway. You may leave in the disposable trash liner if it contains dry ingredients. Any food or wet items please discard when emptying your trash for the day.

Classroom lights: Turn off your lights when leaving unless you see another teacher entering your room immediately following your last class for the day.

SPECIFIC CLASSROOM INSTRUCTIONS

Room C-102: Turn “off” the air condition when leaving unless another instructor is entering your classroom immediately following your last class for the day. Room C-102 controls the air in rooms C-101 and in C-102.
